RETURNS & REPAIRS
We want you to always cherish your Allison Alane piece. If a selection from our online studio does not completely resonate with you, we are delighted to facilitate an exchange or issue a non-expiring store credit. Please note that we do not offer monetary refunds at this time.
To honor this process, we kindly ask that you keep the following considerations in mind:
- The Grace Period: Exchange and store credit requests must be initiated within 10 days of receiving your package. If you are acquiring a piece as a gift and require an extended window, please contact the studio prior to placing your order so we may accommodate your timeline.
- Holiday Extensions: We gracefully extend our return window during the winter holiday season. To remain informed of these seasonal adjustments, we invite you to join the Allison Alane newsletter.
- Condition of the Work: We can only accept pieces that are entirely unworn, unaltered, and in their pristine original condition. The cost of the initial shipping service may be deducted from your final credit or exchange value.
- Retail Partners: Our policy applies exclusively to acquisitions made directly through our online studio. If you purchased your piece through one of our retail stockists, your acquisition is subject to their independent store policies, and you will need to coordinate with them directly.
Are any pieces considered final sale?
Due to the intimate and highly individualized nature of certain creations, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or credit requests for the following:
- Custom and bespoke commissions.
- International orders shipped outside of the United States.
- Pieces acquired during a studio sale or archival promotion.
- Rings that have been specifically resized to your specifications prior to delivery (including one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to your size).
How do I initiate an exchange or return for store credit?
To begin the process, please contact the studio directly at info@allisonalane.com to receive a formal return authorization and step-by-step instructions.
When preparing your shipment back to our Brooklyn studio, please ensure the jewelry is secured inside its original presentation packaging and placed within a structural shipping box. We strictly require utilizing a premium courier service that includes both comprehensive tracking and insurance (such as USPS, FedEx, or UPS), as Allison Alane Jewelry cannot be held liable for parcels that are lost or compromised in transit.
We take immense pride in the artistry and structural integrity of our jewelry. Each piece is crafted to endure, and we are pleased to offer complimentary repairs for any manufacturing anomalies within one year of your purchase from our online boutique.
- Acquisitions via Retail Partners: Our studio warranty applies exclusively to pieces purchased directly from our online studio. If you acquired your piece through one of our retail stockists, your piece is subject to their specific policies, and we kindly ask that you coordinate care directly through them.
- Elective & Extended Care: Repairs necessitated by accidental damage, elective adjustments (such as subsequent ring resizing), or requests made after the one-year mark are thoughtfully considered on a case-by-case basis. Should we accept the piece for restoration, a fee will be assessed to cover the studio's out-of-pocket material and labor costs.
To request care for your jewelry, please contact the studio at info@allisonalane.com to receive a formal repair authorization and further instructions.
A Note on Policy Adjustments
To maintain the highest standards of service and craftsmanship, the guidelines detailed on this page represent our current repair protocols and supersede all previous iterations. We reserve the right to refine these policies or modify our repair services at our discretion. We invite you to periodically review this page to remain informed of our current studio care standards.
We approach the packing of each parcel with the utmost care, and we respectfully ask that you extend that same mindfulness when shipping a piece back to our Brooklyn studio. Fine jewelry requires structural protection to endure the realities of transit.
When preparing your parcel, please observe our studio guidelines:
- The Gift Box is Not a Shipping Vessel: The elegant, ribbon-bound presentation box your jewelry arrived in is designed solely to cradle the piece, not to withstand the postal system. Placing this box directly into the mail, or inside a soft envelope, leaves the jewelry highly vulnerable to compression.
- The Transit Journey: Throughout their journey, packages are stacked beneath heavier cargo, sorted by high-speed machinery, and shifted in transit. A padded envelope or paper mailer simply cannot provide the rigid defense fine jewelry requires.
- Our Packing Rule of Thumb: Before sealing your parcel, consider whether the container could safely withstand a heavy weight or accidental impact. If the structure feels unyielding, your piece is well-protected.
We kindly request that you secure your jewelry inside its presentation box, and then place that box inside a rigid, structural cardboard shipping box. Please surround it with ample padding (such as tissue, kraft paper, or bubble wrap) to prevent any movement within. You are always most welcome to reuse the original external shipping box your order arrived in.
Both our artisan bench and your future jewelry self thank you for preserving the integrity of your piece.
